Data about family Ajetić asserts at the Natives of city of Ilok from 1912.y. to 1947.y., printed in city Osijek, y. 2003. edited by Zlatko Virc, on page 16 - 17 says:

About;  JOSIP AJETIĆ (b.Ilok, 19 3.1894., d.Vinkovci, y.1944.) Journalist and politician
In city Ilok he lived in Preradovićeva street.
He worked as a clerk in a lawyer offices in Ilok; owned by Giga Nikolić and in an office owned by Branko Paunović.
His work in the labor movement, happens in and during the creation of the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs. In November y.1918. he is member of the National Council with the socialist Simo Perić. He is one of the founders of the Communist Party in Ilok.

In Vukovar, he was married with Evica, they had three daughters. (Names unknown).
 J. Ajetić was a participant at (second) II. Congress in Vukovar y.1919. Associate to newspapers “Radnička straža”, correspondent to “Hrvatski list”, owner and editor of the humorous magazine “Osa” and “Slobodno slovo”.
Because of the communist political ideas, he was arrested and imprisoned in Koprivnica, Jasenovac and Stara Gradiška. In y.1943. at the village Otok he was leader of military unit called Domobranski vod and with military squad moved aside to the partisans.
He was caught in woods of Bosut, taken to Vinkovci, at time of Independent State of Croatia, where in late October y.1944. was shot (executed by firing squad).


At the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Ilok are exposed the photos of Joseph Ajetića at the time of Second World War and Home Guards who were in the Otok with the partisans. 
Also in the Memorial Room of the memorable people of Ilok presented biography of Josip Ajetić.
